WIAW #35: Lunch at The Little Beet

This WIAW will be a little out of the ordinary, showcasing last Friday’s lunch at The Little Beet. Lunch is often my least interesting meal, and I often forgo it in favor of lots of snacks between breakfast/brunch and dinner. This time, it was anything but boring. (Also, I was caught in the blogger act by my dining companion…)

Being A Girls on the Run 5K Sparkle Runner

Rather than my usual weekly workout post, today is all about my experience being a Girls on the Run 5K Sparkle Runner at the Fall 2015 race on Randall’s Island in NYC! I had an absolutely amazing time and would love to get more involved with the organization.

Weekly Workouts and Yoga at House of Jai

Happy Monday! I’m checking in after a Thanksgiving weekend filled with family, food, and fun. And a Turkey Trot, which included both family and fun, and was bookended by food. Today, in addition to sharing my usual weekly workouts and yoga at House of Jai, which I don’t think I’ve shared here before, I’m also going to recap my November running since it’s the last day of the month. Which I can hardly believe.

Dash to the Finish 5K and Marathon Weekend

For anyone who’s a runner, or knows a runner, or just lives in New York City, the first Sunday in November is one of the biggest events of the year. The New York City Marathon cuts a path through all five boroughs and brings runners from around the world together to take over the streets, and really the city itself. The Sunday before the marathon, the Poland Springs 5M Marathon Kickoff gets things up and running. And then, marathon scaffolding, bleachers, signs, fences, and more beging to crisscross Central Park throughout the week leading up to the main event.

An Autumn Weekend and Returning to “Real Life”

Happy Monday, everyone! As you read this, I’ll either be on my way or already going through my first day of work as a lawyer in NYC. I definitely have a sense that this is truly a season of change, as my life shifts from one phase to another. I’m nervous and excited all at once, and I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes – I’ve really enjoyed all the time I got to spend blogging this summer and early autumn, and will be keeping at it. My goal is to post 3-4 days per week, rather than the 5-6 I’ve been posting, but still enough to share all the recipes, running, life updates and random thoughts you care to read about 🙂
