Five Songs I’m Loving This Spring

Hello and happy Friday! I’m coming at you with a Five Things I’m Loving This Friday (resurrected after a long absence, save for my Five blog survey) focused on five songs I’m loving this spring. In that survey, I mentioned five songs I’d been playing on repeat. Well, those five are still some of my favorites, and pretty close to the ones I’m sharing here, but there are more in the rotation that have been especially prominent lately. They’re perfect for the season, as the weather finally warms up for good, the sun is shining and we have lots going on, and honestly a few of them are perfect road tunes that got stuck in my head when we were driving to Philadelphia that will definitely be in the mix for our upcoming trip to Maine! Also, they’re all country-esque, just the mood I’m in I guess 🙂

Five: A Random Blog Survey

After seeing this survey on Julie’s, Brittany’s, and Courtney’s blogs, I thought it would be fun to fill out myself. Especially after wistfully glancing over the photos of travel locations and jamming to the music selections! I decided to go alphabetically in each section, but there are shout-outs to a few of my number ones 🙂

Run. Eat. Listen. Watch. Read. 10/25/15

Happy Sunday, lovelies! I’m off to run the Poland Springs 5M Marathon Kickoff in Central Park this morning on my way to crossing off #7 of the 9 races I need to qualify for the New York City Marathon next year. As most of you know, I like to use my running time as my thinking time, and these are just a few of the things I’ve been pondering as I run…or read, or bake, or walk to work. Enjoy the links in this round of Run. Eat. Listen. Watch. Read. (Look at August, early and late September to see what caught my eye then…)

Run. Eat. Listen. Watch. Read. 9/20/15

Welcome to a late September edition of Run. Eat. Listen. Watch. Read. It’s pretty much a Link Love to gather up everything that’s caught my eye since the first and second rounds back in August, featuring everything from running tips to recipes and movies to music. Read on, and you might get hooked on one of these too!

Run. Eat. Listen. Watch. Read.

I’m kicking off the weekend here at Renaissance Runner Girl with a new kind of post. You’re probably familiar with the weekly or monthly Link Love posts on other blogs, and those are pretty similar to what I’ll be doing here. I find that I always bookmark a bunch of blog posts, newspaper articles, and the like and then never get around to actually reading them at my leisure, or save ten recipes without ever trying the first, so I’m hoping this will be a better way to collect everything. I probably won’t do them every week – then again, I said that when I began doing WIAW posts and look what happened 😉 I’ll be dividing into Run, Eat, Listen, Watch, and Read for now. So here’s what I’ve been reading, munching, and so forth in no particular order!

Thinking Out Loud 7/2/15

As I sit here typing this, I honestly cannot believe it’s the first day of JULY. June was a month of studying for me, and this month there’ll be a lot more of that, but it really feels like time is flying by. I always say that, but it’s so true. So today, I’m thinking out loud about what’s to come.

Life Lately: June Edition

Thinking-Out-Loud2

This Thursday, I’m thinking out loud in the style of the Currently posts that have been floating around the blogosphere lately. After seeing these posts from Julie, Amanda, Tina, and more, I decided to share my own current things, because that’s what thinking out loud is all about anyway. So here is my Life Lately: June Edition!

Current Book: Unfortunately, my stack of BarBri bad boys to prep for the New York bar exam in July. But I am always re-reading my favorite summer book before falling asleep. It’s called The Big House, and it’s about a family that built a grand summer home on Cape Cod at the turn of the last century, and all of the ways the family members’ lives became entwined with the house. I spent childhood summers down the Cape with my grandparents and have always loved any book to do with Cape history. Even though I won’t be back this summer, it’s a lovely reminder of the spirit of the place.

The Big House

Current Music: My favorite summer mix including lots of Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland, Matt Nathanson, and most recently Gloriana and Alex & Sierra. I have ‘Scarecrow’ on repeat a lot!

Current TV Show: I’ve been re-watching Hart of Dixie and Parks and Rec on Netflix later in the evenings after finishing up with studying for the day. It’s nice to unwind to something familiar and relatively upbeat.
