To wrap up sharing my recent trip to Maine, I thought I’d collect my experiences eating gluten free in one post. This is by no means a comprehensive list of all the amazing places you can find gluten free goodies or other allergy free treats. It’s simply my own guide to gluten free Maine, an overview of where I ate in the places we happened to be in – Portland, Freeport, Yarmouth, and Kennebunkport.
We’re taking a little break from the food-ventures to share some other highlights of my trip to Maine today. Of course there were more, and I’ll be sharing those next week. For now, it’s time to talk shopping in Maine. This may surprise you, considering I’m not really into buying stuff. I haven’t been in a department store in months, if not a year. But Southern Maine is what you might call my shopping Mecca. Why? It’s home to the stuff that does fill my life. Like cooking gadgets, leggings, and boat shoes. From Stonewall Kitchen to L.L. Bean, I found a few goodies on this trip.

Five days in Maine spent in Portland, Freeport, and Kennebunkport, eating lots of delicious seafood and sweet treats, exploring the Atlantic coastline, and shopping at my version of Mecca (the L.L.
