In today’s WIAW, you’ll see a lot of eats I posted on Instagram over the weekend (although this isn’t a complete Behind the Instagram like last week). I just ended up sharing most of my meals from Saturday in photo form, and it was a recipe shoot day to boot, which meant lots of snacking on sweets directly from my oven. Starting with breakfast. In addition to my lemon water, Larabar, and cup of tea before my run, I had a Buckwheat & Quinoa Banana Muffin – recipe coming this Friday!
After my run, I had two slices of a homemade smoked salmon frittata, along with roasted potatoes and more veggies. Although I wished I was eating my lunch from Friday when I went out to Le Pain Quotidien with my friend Katie. The smoked salmon salad and gluten free multi-seed bread was delicious. Then again, there’s no way it would have even halfway curbed my appetite after running, so it was all for the best.
Since I spent the afternoon photographing three different recipes, I snacked away on Buckwheat & Quinoa Banana Muffins, Blueberry Vanilla Muffins, and Grain Free Chocolate Cherry Cake. The first of these is scheduled to go live on Friday, and look out for the other two in the coming weeks.
Dinner took place at Bareburger, where I had a duck burger in a collard green wrap with cauliflower hummus and pickled onions, and we split a mixed large order of regular French fries and sweet potato fries. I’m not sure why I hesitated when they asked if we wanted a small or large order. We could easily have eaten more.
For dessert, ice cream just like last weekend (and you’ll be seeing a lot more of these). Emack and Bolio’s is the best.
I had a few squares of Theo Chocolate’s Coconut Dark Chocolate to end the day, along with a Pink Lady apple. I just discovered this brand at the corner organic market and it’s fair trade and fairly awesome.
Do you eat out more on weekends than during the week?
Snacking from brunch to dinner, or three big meals?

I applaud you food bloggers! I tried posting recipes, but it’s soso work intensive. Process shots, final shots, staging, lighting, camera angles, …
But if I were posting recipies (and someone took care of my son in the meantime…) I would totally do the photography for several recipes in one go. I’m a strong beliefer in batching tasks!
Excited for your recipes!
